Located in the central Alsancak District, Kültürpark is one of the most significant urban parks that has been serving the citizens of İzmir and its suburbs, since 1936. Unlike its counterparts in other parts of the world, it has incorporated quite a wide range of facilities throughout its 86-year history, including the pavilions of famous International Fair, an amusement park, a zoo, a parachute tower, an artificial lake, green zones, sport facilities, as well as various cultural and recreational centers. The aim of this trip is to trace design history in Kültürpark through visiting and exploring existing and non-existing landmarks, buildings and sites under the guidance of two design scholars from 4T Society: Burkay Pasin and Emre Yıldız.
