Burkay Pasin received his bachelor degree in architecture from Middle East Technical University in 2000. He worked as an architect in Turkey and abroad between 2000-2005. He received his master’s degree in architecture from Dokuz Eylül University in 2007, with a thesis entitled “A Case Study on Using Musical Composition in Basic Design Education at Schools of Architecture”, and his doctorate degree from Middle East Technical University in 2014, with a dissertation entitled “A Critical Reading of Ottoman-Turkish Hammam as a Queered Space”. Currently, he has been teaching design studios and theoretical courses both in undergraduate and graduate level as a full-time staff member in Yaşar University. He has made numerous publications in his research areas of 20^th century Turkish design history, gender and space, queer space and architectural design education. In addition, he is a member of Izmir Chamber of Architects and 4T Design and Design History Society. 

Born in 1977 in Ankara. He graduated from Istanbul Kabatas Erkek High School in 1994 and from Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Graphic Department in 1999. He worked in various advertising agencies in Izmir during his student years and in Istanbul after graduation. He started working as a Research Assistant at Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Graphic Department in 2002. He made studies on graphic design abroad and participated in various events. He completed the Proficiency in Art program in 2008. He worked as an author and editor in Graphic Design magazine between 2006-2009. He earned the title of Associate Professor in 2016. Carried out administrative duties such as vice dean and member of the board of directors. He continues his design studies and academic research in the fields of corporate identity design, exhibition design, wayfinding and signage design. He is married with two children.

Sevda Kaçtı received BA degree in Graphic Anadolu University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2015 and MA degree in Anadolu University Graphic Programme in 2019. She took part in the design team of Eskişehir Liberation Museum in 2016 as an illustrator. Opened a solo illustration exhibition in 2018. Participated in many national and international group exhibitions and won degrees from national competitions. She has been studying PhD in Art at Graphic Dokuz Eylül University since 2019. She works as a research assistant in the same department. Continues her personal projects and editorial illustrations for different genres of publications.

After completing her undergraduate education in the Department of Industrial Design of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, she completed her Master's education in the Design Studies Program of the İzmir University of Economics. She has been continuing her doctoral education at the Middle East Technical University Institute of Science, Industrial Product Design Program since 2018. Between 2017-2022 she worked at Yaşar University, Faculty of Art and Design, Department of Industrial Design and since 2022 she continued her work as a research assistant at the Faculty of Communication Department of Visual Communication Design.

Received BA degree in Graphic Design Dokuz Eylül University and MA degree in Yasar University Graphic Design Master Programme. Studying Proficiency in Art Programme in Yasar University. Working as lecturer on Yasar University Art and Design Faculty Graphic Design Department, Yıldız focuses on typography, graphic design history and semiotic studies.
